Cabling for the buildings Orlando is made of
Orlando’s commercial building stock is more varied than a smaller town’s. In the same week a cabling contractor can be asked to wire a single-floor office suite, a multi-tenant building where the telecom room is shared with everyone else on the riser, a hotel with hundreds of guest rooms, and a medical office where every exam room needs a data outlet that will still be in the right place after the next renovation. The cable is the same product in each case. The design is not.
That is the difference between structured cabling and a patch cord run to wherever the router happens to sit. Every outlet lands on a labeled patch panel in a rack, the backbone between floors or buildings is fiber or high-count copper, and the documentation shows where each drop goes. When a tenant moves, a department grows or a wing is remodeled, the change is made at the patch panel instead of with a new pull through a finished ceiling.
Office suites and multi-tenant buildings
In a multi-tenant building the job starts before the first cable is pulled, with the building’s telecom room, the riser, and the property manager’s rules for both. Service enters the building at one point and has to reach your suite through pathways other tenants also use. We plan the route, extend service from the demarcation point to your space, and build a rack or wall-mount cabinet in the suite so the network has one clean point of origin.
For a tenant fit-out the useful questions are simple: how many desks, which of them need more than one drop, where the printers, phones and access points go, and whether the suite is likely to grow into the next bay before the lease ends. A Cat 6 drop to every workstation, Cat 6a to the access points and to anything that may need more bandwidth later, and a fiber or copper uplink back to the building room is the pattern most office suites need.
Hospitality and medical: cable that stays out of sight
Hotels and hospitality properties need cabling in places guests never see: behind the front desk, in the back office, to the point-of-sale terminals in the restaurant and bar, to the access points that carry guest WiFi down every corridor, and to the cameras and door hardware at the service entrances. The runs are long, the ceilings are finished, and the work has to happen around people who are paying to be there. Planning the pathways and the timing is as much of the job as the terminations.
Medical and dental offices follow a pattern of their own: an outlet in every exam room or operatory, a denser cluster at reception and the nurses’ station, dedicated drops for imaging equipment and for devices that must not share a link with the guest network, and a rack that locks. Practices also renovate, add rooms and swap equipment more often than a typical office, which is exactly where a labeled and documented cable plant matters most.
What we pull and terminate in Orlando
- Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6a horizontal cabling to workstations, phones, printers, access points and cameras
- Fiber optic backbone between floors, between buildings on a campus, and from the building’s telecom room to your suite
- Coaxial cabling for video distribution, broadband and RF
- Network racks, wall-mount cabinets, patch panels and cable management
- Labeling at both ends and testing of every link before handover
- Complete network infrastructure for new construction and fit-outs, and clean-up of existing cabling that has grown one patch cord at a time

The network the cable feeds
In a hotel or a large office the cable plant and the wireless network are one design, not two. The access points go where the coverage survey says they should, and the Cat 6a drops go to the access points. We install the business WiFi those drops feed, so the survey, the cabling and the radios are specified by the same people and there is no second contractor to coordinate.
Orlando and the metro around it
SPCom Solutions is a service-area business: the crew comes to your building, and there is no showroom to visit. From Orlando the same crews work west through Windermere, Ocoee and Winter Garden, south through Kissimmee to Four Corners and Davenport, and out to Clermont. Orlando also has pages for security cameras and IT support, and two of those towns each have a page for one service: security cameras in Clermont and business phone systems in Winter Garden.
