Where we work on the Gulf side of the state

Tampa Bay is the far end of our regular territory. Our office is in Sanford, at the north end of the Orlando metro, and the drive to Tampa is Interstate 4 the whole way. That corridor is also where a good share of the work is: the distribution and warehouse buildings that line I-4 between the two metros, then the offices, clinics and multi-tenant buildings of Tampa itself and the rest of Hillsborough County. Interstate 75 runs north and south through the same county and takes us to the industrial parks on either side of it.

North of Tampa the map changes character. The Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) and US 19 both run up into Hernando County, where the jobs are spread between Brooksville, the county seat, Spring Hill, and the Gulf coast around Weeki Wachee. Much of the building there is new: commercial shells getting their first cable plant, and the clubhouses, fitness rooms and gatehouses of new residential communities.

What these buildings need

  • Distribution and warehouse space along I-4 and I-75. Long cable runs, high ceilings, cameras over the dock doors and the yard, WiFi that has to reach a forklift at the back of the rack aisle, and a telecom room that is often a plywood board in a corner until we build it a proper rack.
  • Offices and medical suites in Tampa. Workstation drops, access points, door readers at the suite entry, and in a clinic an outlet in every exam room plus dedicated runs for imaging equipment that must not share a link with the guest network.
  • New commercial construction and community amenity buildings in Hernando County. Rough-in before drywall, then trim-out: data, cameras, access control and WiFi for clubhouses, fitness centers, pool buildings and gatehouses.
  • Retail and restaurants. Point-of-sale drops, cameras over the register and the back door, guest WiFi kept off the payment network, and a phone system that rings where the staff are.
  • Churches and schools. Sanctuaries and classrooms that need coverage without visible cable, doors that lock on a schedule, and cameras at the entrances and the parking lot.

How we schedule a job that far from base

We do not pretend the distance is nothing. Tampa is a long drive from Sanford and Hernando County is further, so a job there is planned differently from one across town in Orlando. Three things stay constant.

  1. A site visit comes first. For anything beyond a small service call we walk the building before we quote it: count the drops, find the telecom room and the pathways, look at the ceilings, the doors, the dock and the exterior. The quote that follows is built from what we saw, not from a floor plan alone.
  2. Work is grouped. Rough-in, trim-out and commissioning are scheduled as full days or consecutive days on site, so the crew arrives with everything for that phase and the drive is planned into the quote instead of appearing as a surprise line afterwards.
  3. A straight answer on distance. If a job is too small or too far for us to service well, including the follow-up visit a year later, we will say so when you call rather than quote high and hope. The Gulf side of our map is where that conversation is most likely to come up, and we would rather have it at the start.

Our Tampa Bay listing on Google

This page is the home of our Tampa Bay and Hernando County profile on Google. There is no street address on it because there is no office in the region: our crews do the work on site, and the profile is a service-area profile for that reason. Find us on Google, call 321-351-5727, or email office@spcomsolutions.com with the building and the town, whether that is Tampa, Brooksville or Spring Hill, and we will set up the walkthrough.
